The journey to the grove
I found myself stuck in a cycle of stress and burnout, fuelling it with coffee—multiple cups a day. At the time, I thought it was the only solution, so I powered through, ignorantly. My cortisol levels were through the roof, and I was noticing all the physical symptoms. The coffee jitters made it impossible to focus. I wasn’t as cognitively sharp as I knew I could be, and worse, I had no real routine to ground me. But eventually, I started listening to my body and mind. Maybe it was the impact of what I was putting into my system, or maybe my environment forcing a moment of reflection on my habits.
Something had to change
I started replacing my mid-morning coffee with matcha—and immediately, I felt the difference. Instead of sudden spikes and crashes, matcha gave me smooth, sustained energy. I went straight to the source, testing all sorts of matchas from everywhere I could find until I found the best: a 100% ceremonial-grade, first harvest organic matcha from Uji, Kyoto—the matcha equivalent to Champagne in France. This matcha is organically cultivated in 350-year-old groves, carefully shade-grown, gently stone-milled, and aged for a year by expert tea masters to enhance its nutritional content, flavour profile, and vibrant green tone.
